I received the unit yesterday and have been trying to install Ubuntu to dual boot with windows 10.
I created the USB boot stick using rufus and, whenever I tried to boot from the USB and select either 'try Ubuntu' or 'Install Uuntu' from grub page, it hangs on the Ubuntu loading page.
I searched around and found some related solutions with 9560 and tried tweaking BIOS to boot from legacy mode and added nomodeset parameter on edit mode on grub page but none of them worked...
specs are 8th gen i7 , 1050ti, and FHD screen.
Please help, any input will be appreciated :)

Hello all.
I have turned on Hyper-V to make my main machine a Type 1 Hypervisor while running Windows 10 Pro with 1803 update as a guest... in hopes that the much anticipated/talked about Ubuntu 18.04 support would be available. However, 4 days later and I am still not seeing the quick create option to choose Ubuntu 18.04.
Ubuntu 1804 Iso
There are tutorials on getting Ubuntu 16.04 to work. I am not, however sure if I use the ISO image of Ubuntu 18.04 if it will pick up the enhanced capabilities that Hyper-V and build 1803 introduce.. e.g. better mouse/gpu support, drive redirection, etc. As I understand it, each guest OS in a type 1 hypervisor will run as if it is on bare metal.. nearly as fast as if the hypervisor wasnt managing it. Is that the case or am I missing what a type 1 hypervisor does for guest OSs?
Anyway, I just want to get Ubuntu 18.04 running already, but assumed since all the hoopla around it was with regards to using the quick create gallery, that possibly I had to wait for it to be released there before it would pick up the extra enhanced features... or if the ISO includes it and it will work just as well?
